Bespoke Services - Consultancy, Advice, Training and Accredited Courses

Global Emergency Management is able to deliver a total consultancy service. from assessing the needs of an organisation, advising on emergency plans and any responsibilities with regard to civil protection, to identifying training needs and designing bespoke training packages, as well as designing and managing exercises to test plans and the available skills to deliver them.

GEM director Sheena McCabe highlights that Category 1 responders need in place procedures to deal with their duties under the Civil Contingencies Act:

"They need their local resilience forum set up with its aims and objectives. It needs to know who's carrying out the risk assessment and the various groups involved need to have done their training.

"With GEM we break down these duties into manageable chunks and deliver sufficient information and training to delegates in a day for them to be able to go away and start using that in their areas," says Sheena.

"Category 2 responders will also be involved in incidents which affect their sectors and will need to be similarly prepared, as will companies that will be encouraged to plan for business continuity in the event of a disaster and for whom it is prudent to also be ready for the more common threats and emergencies that are more likely to occur."
